Mauritius sports trip 2019: highlights and wins!

April 11, 2019

For their first sports trip, an excited group of 33 students and 4 teachers flew to Mauritius to take part in a tournament organized by Le Bocage International School. ASA students competed in girls and boys soccer and basketball and a mixed gender volleyball tournament. Here are a few highlights of the trip:

The school trip to Mauritius was an incredible experience for us all. For the first time, all sports teams had the opportunity to showcase our potential and compete against new teams. We arrived on Thursday and had long days of playing at Le Bocage International School on Friday and Saturday. We all stayed with welcoming and kind hosts and made new friends. Some highlights of the trip include the Girls Basketball team winning the first place trophy (wooow), our trip to the mall on Friday afternoon, meeting and getting to know our host families, and most importantly, showing our school spirit during our games and bonding with other students. I think that what most of us enjoyed the most from this experience was having the opportunity to compete against foreign teams and really demonstrate our sportsmanship and our skills. We all really loved this experience and hope to continue it as an annual sports trip.
