Kjeld-Jørgen Glittenberg
Director

Prior to joining ASA, Jørgen served as the Head of School at the American School of Yaoundé since 2020. He is an extremely experienced IB educator who has worked in international IB schools in Argentina, Ethiopia, Beijing, and Norway.

 

 

 

Jennifer Hutchings
Secondary School Principal

Jennifer began her career in the United States as a social studies teacher and has since served in teaching, administrative, counseling, and curriculum and technology coordination roles in Turkey, Poland, and Madagascar. She holds a BA in Latin and History from Indiana University, a PGCE from Indian River State College, and an MEd in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University. This year she will serve as the Secondary School Principal. Jennifer is a collaborative and student-centered leader who partners actively with teachers, parents, and students to ensure every member of the school community feels included, connected, and empowered to thrive.

Ben Wiggins
Elementary School Principal

After a few years teaching in the UK, Ben has been working in international schools since 1998, teaching the IB DP, MYP and PYP programmes. He has a BSc (Hons) with QTS in Physical Education and Geography from Brunel University; an MSc in Sociology of Sport (Physical Education) from Leicester University; an MA in Educational Leadership and Management from Keele University; and a Certificate in School Leadership and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, as well as being an experienced Council of International Schools accreditation team member. Ben is an advocate for the benefits of Outdoor Education and outside of school can often be found on his bike exploring the tracks in the hills around Antananarivo.
