  • PYP & MYP French and Spanish Teacher

We are looking for an inspiring and collaborative language acquisition teacher to work primarily with our PYP and MYP French Acquisition students. Teachers at our school have a commitment to an inclusive and international-minded education that is conceptually driven while prioritizing student well-being. We endeavor to help students make meaningful connections between the local Malagasy and global contexts, so being open-minded to learn about our host country and adapting this knowledge into lesson content is important.  This role will also actively support the co-curricular program, which may include serving as a MYP grade level advisor, service learning advisor, and after-school activity leader. This person will also teach year 2 of DP Spanish ab initio for one year as we phase out the program.

  • PYP & MYP Music Teacher

We are looking for an inspiring, collaborative, inquiry-based music teacher to work with our PYP and MYP students in our one class per grade level IB continuum school. Classes are conducted in a band room, providing ample space to accommodate all classroom activities. It is fully furnished with Orff-Schulwerk instruments, electric keyboards, and rock and woodwind band equipment. ASA has moved from a performance-based curriculum to an inquiry-based IB curriculum. Teachers at our school have a commitment to an inclusive and international-minded education that is conceptually driven while prioritizing student well-being. We endeavor to help students make meaningful connections between the local Malagasy and global contexts, so being open-minded to learn about our host country and adapting this knowledge into lesson content is important. This role will also actively support the co-curricular program, which may include serving as a MYP grade level advisor, service learning advisor, and after-school activity leader. The music teacher is expected to inspire, support, and potentially lead music performances as displays of learning or to accompany ASA community events.
