Our Kindergarten classroom has been re-setup to encourage play based learning. We now have dedicated areas – a kitchen and a restaurant, an inquiry area, reading area, writing area, math area, magnetic stations, and a building area. We also have tables outside the classroom that we use for art and outdoor play. Our dynamic classroom encourages student choice and inquiry. Children learn so much through play. It allows them to explore, discover, negotiate, take risks, create meaning and solve problems – all the important foundations for developing literacy, numeracy and social skills.
