ASA Students Shine at AISA’s Virtual Leadership Training

December 22, 2023

In November 2023, a group of eight student leaders from ASA had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Student Leadership Training organized by the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA). This virtual training, skillfully guided by Mr. Aaron Moniz, a co-founder and leader at Inspire Citizens, and Ms. LeeAnne Lavender, the current AISA Service Learning Program Coordinator, proved to be a valuable and enlightening experience for our students.

During this engaging training, our students not only had the chance to share their perspectives on pressing global issues but also joined forces with over a hundred participants to advocate for causes that resonate with them. They took thoughtful steps toward making a positive impact, demonstrating a genuine commitment to creating change. Additionally, the training served as a platform for refining their leadership skills, providing them with the tools needed to exert a meaningful influence within their communities.

We are thrilled to share that this Student Leadership Training not only empowered our students to express their views on important matters but also equipped them with the skills to actively contribute to positive transformations in the world. We look forward to witnessing the continued growth and impactful contributions of our student leaders within and beyond our school community.
