Teaching and learning at the ASA is supported by a technology-rich environment. Educational technology use at ASA is aligned with our school mission, and digital citizenship is embedded within our curriculum. Students use Information and Communication Technology in most of their classes, but additionally engage in design thinking in our Design and Technology classes, while building skills in areas such as robotics, 3D design and printing, electronics, animation, photography and film, programming and the creation of virtual reality content. In our Elementary and Secondary School makerspaces, students can explore, design and create digital and physical products.

We have a 1:1 “bring your own device” (BYOD) programme in Secondary School, whereas our Elementary School students have 1:1 Chromebooks (grade 4 and 5) or iPads (kindergarten – grade 3).
